Help! I Get Hit in the Back While Spreading Manure! Tips on Running a Small PTO Spreader
Have you been spreading and getting hit with manure? It’s a common issue when you’re “close to the action” using a small spreader. Here’s a tip on how to avoid this issue: slow your tractor RPMs when you get to the end of the load to be sure the beaters aren’t kicking as much towards the front of the machine. Also, when there’s a safe opportunity, use gravity to your advantage and spread uphill!

You should know that you NEVER EVER turn on the pto at high rpms you only do it at idle or very low rpms to prevent stress on the pto drive line
